As most of you are already aware, I went to a Camera Obscura concert last Friday. It was, in a word, amazing. They were so much better in person than I ever imagined they would be.
And the show was so different from the usual venues I seem to haunt. No screaming fans or stage rushing. No pushing or shoving. No "in crowd" teenagers looking down their noses at you. It was definitely a nice change, way more relaxed and mellow than the other shows I've been to (ahem: All Time Low). ;)
I must admit I was a little bit nervous about going to Emo's late at night, but I just decided to go for it. And, boy, am I glad I did. Everything about that night is all that I want my life to be about from now on.
I'm still glowing, two days later.
And still teasing my sisters about their big, giant X's. Which I didn't have to get. Mwahahaha. I just have a teensy little smudge on the inside of my right wrist. Words unintelligible. Courtesy of my late birthday :).
I'm still slightly drained from that night; I've been dragging since yesterday. Which is probably why I'm feeling so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of homework I have to get done for the next two days. TONIGHT. Seriously, if I can just get through the next two days, I'll be home free. *sigh*
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun? Gotta go.
Much love,
Kaitlyn
P.S. Be sure to check out my sister Callie's blog for an amazing post about the concert and Camera Obscura and my sister Jessica's blog for pictures from that night :).
