Regrets Are Better Left Unspoken
I freakin' love Seether. I always have. I probably always will.
I hate to stereotype but when I tell people this, they never believe me. Apparently I look like the kind of girl that only would listen to country or whatever.
Just FYI, that is so not the case.
These have been two of my favorite songs for the past three years, I guess.
Because I was definitely one of those people that rushed to the store to buy the album when it first came out ;).
Happy Sunday!
And boo to waiting to the last minute to do assignments :(. I think tomorrow is going to be a long day...
See you soon. xoxo

Hello, I Love You
"Oh, Alanis, you speak to my bruised and bleeding heart."
So last weekend I went to Half Price Books with my good friend Roberto. We spent hours pouring through the stacks of books, digging through the CDs and records, and just goofing around. It was loads of fun :).
And bonus, I got one of Alanis Morrissette's earlier CDs. I seriously saw it sitting there on the shelf, grabbed it, and squealed a little. No joke. My life feels oh so complete now.
Have a great weekend everyone! Lots of love.

*P.S. What do you think of my new layout? I would love to hear some thoughts... ;)

The Dog Days Are Over

I used to spend hours browsing deviantart in high school (and I still have the proof of it stored on my hard-drive). I found this artist through the first picture on here and fell instantly in love. I have loved her since that very day and I thought maybe someone else would find her just as inspiring :). Please be sure to check out her page {click}.Wednesday, March 24, 2010
So I was driving in the rain today...
And I listened to these songs...
Well, naturally I listened to more than these. These are just the ones that stuck with me. :P
Why, oh why, did I decide to wear shorts AND glasses on one of the wettest, muggiest, and most disgusting days ever??
Oh well, it's Wednesday! Hooray! Stay 'dry' ya'll.

Can You Keep A Secret? Day __ (?)
I watched part of Monsters vs. Aliens tonight with my brother and this part always make me laugh :). It's not one of my favorites but after watching tons of Lifetime today with my sister Jessica today I needed something else to lighten my mood....
Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Like my new banner?? My sister Callie made it :).

Can You Keep A Secret? x10
Soooo. It's been forever. Yes, I know. But I swear, school is so overwhelming sometimes that I just can't summon up the energy to get online and write. But I got through those horrid midterms and kicked butt and now it's spring break!!! Well, it's a few days in but hooray just the same :).
And in very happy news, it's been hot enough the last few days to wear shorts!! Things are definitely looking up ;).
- cupcakes. yum.
- organizing my closet. haha. what can I say? I like things to be in order.
- springtime. it's hot enough in Texas to wear shorts but there's still a breeze (unlike during the muggy hot summers. blah. :/ )
- my pets. they make everything better.
- traveling. going on adventures.
- drinking cups of tea with my mommy. she makes for amazing company.
- my freckles. I take great delight in discovering a new cluster of them on my skin :D.
- going to the movies. eating their greasy popcorn and laughing over the silly parts with whomever I happen to be there with.
- getting dressed up (and the time and effort it takes to know that 'damn, I look good'.)
- surfing the Internet and looking for inspiration, choosing new desktops for my laptop, and adding 1,ooo s of dollars to my virtual shopping cart and just dreaming about owning all that pretty stuff :).
That's probably enough for today. I have to go finish vacuuming my room :(. sigh. It has to be done...
I hope everyone is doing well. What are some things that make you happy??
Oh and Happy Tuesday!
I am so excited for tomorrow. I love St. Patty's Day. And wearing green.
And bonus, I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow too. Yay!

P.S. Once again, this is not my picture. Please click on it to follow the cyberland path to the rightful owner :).

For the Love of Hugh
Yes, indeed. I seem to have a "thing" for dark-haired actors. And of course, if they have accents naturally, so much the better. I seem to be also especially fond of men in the Hugh category. I love them all and will often watch a movie simply because they are in it.
Oh, Hugh Jackman... *sigh*...
Love love love Hugh Dancy...
And of course, the wonderful Hugh Grant...
I hope everyone had a smashing day.
Happy Wednesday!!

We're runnin' at an 'All Time Low'
My taste in music has changed drastically over the past couple of years and is heavily influenced by the places I've lived too. I can honestly say though that this "obsession" didn't really start until my senior year in high school. Before that I would just listen to the radio or the many CD's that I had. Come to think of it, that was also before I bought my first iPod, which I saved and saved and saved for. Yes, that's probably why I became more aware of bands and artists and the like.
But anyways, one band that has stayed with me, faithfully supplying me with lovely tunes is All Time Low. I can't even remember how I found out about them to be honest. It was probably something I heard online and then it stuck with me and then I was obsessed with it and then had to have more. You know the way it goes?! I was 18 I think and this was everything and anything to me. Here was a band that was in your face, unashamedly dirty, and represented to me all that being young and confused was about. I was in love instantly. I rushed out (ha only kidding, to the computer) and bought the actual CD from amazon.com because they seemed too important to me to just download the songs. Love love love.
I have stayed faithful to the band to this day even though they are becoming more mainstream and their style has changed. I've never really been one of those people to hate a band when they change things up though (case in point: Simple Plan). Nothing will ever replace that first CD I bought from them and every time I hear it, all the memories of that summer after my senior year come rushing back. Listening to Put Up Or Shut Up makes me smile still and I can often be seen driving down the highway with my windows open and blasting it. It never fails to lift my mood and will probably always make me feel young at heart.
I was lucky enough this year to see them live here in town which I can seriously say was the highlight of my year :). I remember surveying the crowd and realizing that the majority of the people attending were screaming and fanatic 16 year olds. There was however one older 30 something there that I first thought was a mom chaperoning or something, but lo and behold, she was actually a fan. She knew all the words to all the songs and was singing along much better than many of the others there. I was inspired :).
All Time Low is the band that introduced me to the punk/pop/alternative rock that I have grown to love and will always be a part of me. Now you know. :P
P.S. I am (not so) secretly in love with Alex Gaskarth (as are probably most of the girls who love the band out there). My love is eternal though, Alex. Pinkie promise. Marry me??
Some of my favorite songs include:
My absolute fave. ^

Can You Keep A Secret?
For the entire month of March I will attempt to give a random piece of information (a piece of me, if you will) that gives others a look into all that is my baloney.
You see, I am still new to blogging and haven't quite found my place. I am hoping that this will help me to find my way -blogly speaking of course. :P
The month of March is particularly important to me because it is my last month of being *this old*; my birthday is in April and this time it's gonna be a big one. I will officially start tomorrow, the 2nd of March 2010 and go until the 3rd of April which is THE day before the big day.
Is It Spring Yet?
Well I mean, I really want it to be Summer, but Spring would be extra nice too...
Seriously, it's not that I mind bundling up (or facing the bipolar weather that seems to originate in south-central Texas), but I would really like the weather to slightly even itself out.
I'm ready to wear skirts and shorts again. And my sandals are looking extra appealing right about now.
I guess for now, I'll have to consign myself to wearing these items around the house...but someday soon I'll be able to wear them out of doors again.
